Jacob Javits, Republican of New York, in##roduced in the House a bill “to prohibit discrimination in employment because of ##ace, religion, color, national origin or ancestry.”The bill is identical with one introduced in the Senate recently by Sen. Ives ## seven other Senators and with House measures introduced by Reps. Mary T. Norton, ## New Jersey, Helen Gahagan Douglas of California, William Dawson of Illinois, ##mocrats, and James G. Fulton, Republican of Pennsylvania. It has been referred to the Committee on Education and Labor.
