The Alliance Israelite Universelle has asked the French Government to instruct its delegation at the U.N. to demand that, pending a final settlement of the Palestine problem, the principles of the Balfour Declaration and the Mandate be lived up to, it was disclosed today by the American Friends of the Alliance.
The French-Jewish organization also expressed the view that the proposed inquiry committee include no representatives of “interested parties” and that the Jewish Agency be considered the sole spokesman for Jews at the United Nations.
