Marshall Says State Dept. Dept. Has Not Acted on British Protests Against American League “ads”

Secretary of State George C. Marshall today told his press conference that the State Department has taken no action on British representations against newspaper advertisements by groups supporting the extremists in Palestine. It is known, however, that the Department is still trying to resolve the question of whether funds collected by the American League for a Free Palestine and similar organizations can be considered charitable funds and, as such, tax exempt.
