The Canadian Government is giving serious consideration to a proposal recently made by the Canadian Jewish Congress to admit 1,000 DP Garment workers and tailors, it was learned here.

The plan is now being discussed by government officials with the unions and various leaders of the garment industry. It is expected that if the 1,000 are admitted, the bulk of them will resettle in Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg where the Industry is centered.
