Jewish leaders here expressed concern today at the possible effect on Jewish DP installations of a new Army order providing for the closing of camps housing less than 500 persons and the transfer of their occupants to larger centers.

The order is believed aimed at United Nations DP’s who refuse to return to their homelands, although most of their fellow-nationals have done so, leaving small groups in large camps. However, since it is a blanket order, it will also hit centers for Jewish children, kibbutzim, hachsharoth and other agricultural training centers.
