The “apathy” of American Jewry toward Jewish books was deplored here at the annual meeting of the Jewish Book Council, a body sponsored by the National Jewish Welfare Board. Principal speakers at the meeting, which was held at the Hotel Sheraton, included Rabbi S. Felix Mendelsohn of Chicago and Dr. Solomon Grayzel of Philadelphia.
