Lord Strabolgi Charges Military Authorities Responsible for Tense Palestine Situation

Asserting that the military authorities in Palestine have taken a short-sighted view of the situation there, Lord Strabolgi, pro-Zionist Labor peer, who is now visiting Canada, laid the major part of the blame for the present violence on the military authorities rather than on the government which, he said, inherited the Palestine problem from its predecessor.

At an interview here he expressed doubt that the British Government would be able to implement its policy of suppressing the extremists: He reiterated that the best solution for Palestine was to grant it dominion status. He also opposed any form of partition.
