American Jewish Conference and Allied Groups Get Consultative Status at U.N.

The U.N. Economic and Social Council today granted consultative status to the Coordinating Board of Jewish Organizations, which is imposed of the American Jewish Conference, the Board of Deputies of British Jews and ## the South African Jewish Board of Deputies. Similar recognition was granted earlier ## the World Jewish Congress and the Jewish Consultative Council, which is composed of the American Jewish Committee, the Alliance Israelite Universelle and the Anglo-Jewish Association.
