A group of American Zionist leaders today sailed on the Queen Elizabeth to attend the Zionist Actions Committee meeting which is schoduled to open in Zurich, Switzerland, August 24. Among the party was Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, chairman of the American Zionist Emergency Council, Dr. Emanuel Neumann, president of the Zionist Organization of America, Daniel Frisch, Mendel Fisher and other prominent Zionists.
In a statement prior to embarkation, Dr. Silver said: “The Jewish people in Palestine are passing through very serious times, but I trust that their tribulations will not long endure. If our government will assume leadership at the forthcoming ### of the United Nations Assembly when the Palestine report will be considered, a new and happier page will be turned in the story of the upbuilding of the Jewish ###
