President Truman has turned over to the State department an appeal to him from the Exodus refugees, the White House announced yesterday. No comment was available from the Department during the week-end.
The message from the visaless Jews called on the President as head of “the (##) powerful nation on earth” to “help us in our eleventh hour of need.” It pointed it that Mr. Truman, speaking for the United States, had “time and again” supported (##) Jewish cause.
