Jewish Birth Rate in Displaced Persons Camps Tripled; 660 Infants Born Every Month

The Jewish birth rate in the camps for displaced ##sons in the British and American zones tripled during the first seven months of is year, as compared with the same period a year ago, it was announced today by the ##nt Distribution Committee office here.

An average of 660 infants are being born monthly in the camps for displaced ##s. The number of Jewish infants less than one year old has reached 8,000.
