The Organizacion Israelita Argentina, a small pro-Peronist organization which several months ago failed to make inroads into the authority and membership of the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jews, has been revived again and established in a new office in the Jewish section of the capital.
The group, which was also unsuccessful in attempting to have the government and over to it the DAIA’s prerogatives in the Jewish community, is now appealing to the Jews on a basis that “a politically united community will be able to achieve its aspirations.” As part of its membership drive the O.I.A. has inserted advertisements in the local Jewish press asking for new members.
