The recently reported plot of Juliu Maniu, Peasant Party leader, and a number of his associates to overthrow the Rumanian Government, has anti-Jewish implications, it was learned here, although the government has not yet released the evidence against Maniu. It was announced that a number of Jewish organizations are cooperating with the government in preparing material for the prosecution.

The Jewish Democratic Committee has issued a 6,000-word manifesto charging the ?iu party with being “morally and politically guilty of the death of hundreds of thousands of persons in slave labor detachments, concentration camps, death trains ## the Jassy massacre.” Maniu testified for the defense during the trial of the ?rtime fascist dictator Ian Antonescu.
