Foreign Minister Herbert Evatt, chief of the Australian delegation at Lake Success and chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on Palestine, has been urged to vote for the UNSCOP majority report.

Bishop C.V. Pilcher, chairman of the Australian Palestine Committee, in a cable to Dr. Evatt said: “In view of the claims on humanity of the desperate Jewish need for land, in contrast with the vast and empty Arab states, I am confident you will vote on Australia’s behalf for implementation of the UNSCOP majority report.”
