The election of Benjamin B. Goldman as assistant secretary of domestic operations and Boris M. Joffe as assistant secretary for overseas operations of the Joint Distribution Committee was announced here by Edward M.M. Warburg, J.D.C. chairman. Mr. Goldman and Mr. Joffe will assist Moses A. Leavitt, J.D.C. executive vice-chairman and secretary.
Serving under Mr. Leavitt, Mr. Goldman will be supervisory head of J.D.C. departments carrying on operations in this country. As assistant secretary for overseas operations, Mr. Joffe will serve under Mr. Leavitt as coordinator in this country of all J.D.C. activities relating to its relief, resettlement and reconstruction programs abroad.
