A call for the admission of 100,000 European DP’s to Canada was voiced by David Croll, Literal M.P. from Toronto, at the first post-war convention of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society.
Croll criticized the present immigration law and suggested that it be liberalized to permit the entrance of cousins of Canadian residents and extension of the ?ge limit in certain immigrant categories which are presently restricted to persons under 21 years of age, N.J, Coldwell, national head of the Commonwealth Federation, called for on immigration sat-up which would involve representatives of the federal and provincial governments, industry, agriculture and labor the contention approved a budget of $150,000 for next year’s activities of the J.I.A.S.
