American military authorities here today ordered weekly inspections in the six camps for displaced Jews in Vienna chiefly for purposes of hygienic control. The inspection will be carried out by American officials.

All Jewish refugees entering Austria from neighboring countries now receive health certificates. However, the number of such refugees is small and does not average more than ten per day.

The decline in the Jewish migratory wave is due to an order by the Russian authorities in Austria to Austrian border police to maintain the strict controls on the Austro-Hungarian frontier in order to prevent illegal infiltration of Jewish refugees from Rumania to Austria by way of Hungary. As a result of this order, the authorities in Hungary are reported here to be arresting Jewish refugees there and returning them to Rumania.
