The condition of the 30,000 Jewish refugees in France who are awaiting resettlement opportunities was discussed today by U.S. Ambassador Jefferson A. Caffrey and the 35 American Jewish leaders who are making a tour of Inquiry in Europe and Palestine in behalf of the United Jewish Appeal. The discussion took place at a reception at the American Embassy in honor of the delegation.

The delegation members, who represent communities in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Detroit, Denver, Kansas City, Dos Moines and other cities, are spending their four-day stay in France visiting hospitals, orphanages, vocational training centers and other projects supported by the Joint Distribution Committee.
