Fifty German women demonstrated today at a meeting of the Bavarian Parliament demanding the return of houses which form the Neu Freimann displaced persons camp. Dr. Philip Auerbach, Minister for Persecutees in the Bavarian Government, told the demonstrators that most Germans who wore known to be Nazis were still living in comfortable homes and if there is a housing shortage the women should demand the eviction of these Germans rather than the ejection of the Nazis’ worst victims.”
The Ministry of Interior has ordered the postponement of the ?toration of houses and furniture to “denazified” Germans who have applied for there belongings on the basis of a law which provides that Germans who have paid their fines in “denazification of courts may have their property returned to them. The postponement was ordered pending clarification of the law, since several “denazified” Germans have applied for the return of homes which have since been used by racial and political persecutees.
