Simeon Strunsky, noted columnist of the New York Times, died yesterday at the age of 68 after a long illness. He served as an editorial writer on the Times since 1924 and conducted his “Topics of the Times” column for the past 15 years. A native of Vitebsk, Russia, be was brought to the United States by his parents, Isadore and Pearl Weinstein Strunsky, at the age of seven and spent his early years on the lower East Side.
