A total of 1,866 Jewish immigrants were included among the 64,127 persons admitted to Canada during 1947, it was revealed today with the release of official government figures on last year’s immigration.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
