Hadassah today appealed to the State Department and the British Ambassador in Washington to prevent Abdel Kader el Husseini, Arab commander in Jerusalem, from carrying out a threat made yesterday to demolish the Hadassah Hospital and Hebrew University on Mt. Scopus.

The appeal was also sent to the U.N. Palestine Commission, the International and the American Red Cross. “Action against the aggressor is what we want and want immediately,” the message, signed by Mrs. Samuel Halprin, national president, declared.
