Canadian Jewish Congress Demands Provincial Minister Apologize for Slandering Jews

The Canadian Jewish Congress has demanded a reaction and apology from the Provincial agriculture minister, Laurent Barre, for malicious Statement made in the Quebec Legislatures against Jews and the Jewish ?ical profession in particular.

Speaking on the question of exemptions from military service obtained for formers’ sons during the war, Barre claimed that his son had been submitted to the dignity of a medical examination by a Jewish doctor and that as a consequence, that ? had been a victim of a permanent illness. “Our children were thrown into the ends of infamous Jewish examiners who regaled themselves with naked Canadian flesh, Barre added.

In protest telegrams sent to Premier Maurice Duplessis and the speaker of the legislature, the Canadian Jewish Congress has demanded that Barre he taken to account ### his anti-Semitic utterances.
