A call for the immediate proclamation of a Hebrew Republic of Palestine was voiced here last night by Senator Guy M. Gillette at a testimonial dinner tendered him by the American League for a Free Pales tine, Some 500 guests who attended the dinner witnessed his installation as honorary president of the League.
Gillette, who is running for the Senate from Iowa, declared that a Hebrew Government must be proclaimed and immediately recognized by the United States. Senators Warren G. Magnuson and Charles W. Tobey, among other speakers, echoed his sentiments.
