A program for strengthening relationships between the Jews of Rumania and Jewish communities in neighboring countries was announced here today by the Jewish Democratic Committee, sponsor of the project.

As the first in a series of cultural exchanges the choir of the Central Consistory of Bulgarian Jews will present two concerts of liturgical and Bulgarian folk music. The group, consisting of more than 100 singers, will present their concert in Bucharest’s largest concert hall on May 15 and 16.

Machine and tool shipments sent to the Rumanian ORT by the World ORT Union in Switzerland are exempt from all import duties, the Ministry of Finance announced today. “In view of the great and useful work which this organization is doing in Rumania,” the Ministry announcement said it was decided that the group no longer need apply for import licenses.
