Plans to establish six credit cooperatives in rural Jewish communities to aid hundreds of Jewish workers during the next few months were announced here today at a Joint Distribution Committee conference attended by Jewish leaders from provincial areas in all parts of Hungary.
The J.D.C. also made known that the recently-established “reconstruction cooperative” in Budapest has already extended more than 4,000 loans while five producers cooperatives have recently been set up in this city, the Committee revealed.
