National Conference of Jewish Social Work to Set Up World-wide Offices

Representatives from 11 countries gathered here today at the first parley of the International Conference of Jewish Social Work since 1936 to discuss problems of Jewish migration and reorganization of the group. The parley decided to establish offices in New York, Paris and Jerusalem.

Reports on present-day conditions of social welfare among Jewish communities in various parts of the world were also presented. Participants in the pane sessions included Moses A. Leavitt, executive vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, Maurice Eigin, executive assistant of the HIAS, and Dr. G. Laundauer, of Jerusalem.

Louis Kraft, secretary of the National Council of the Jewish Welfare Board, was ###hed president of the Conference; Louis Sobel, director of the Jewish Child Care ### vice-president; and Dr. Frederick Ollendorf, of Israel, secretary.
