Moscow Diplomatic Mission to Israel Arrives in Tel Aviv; Soviet Minister Sees Shertok

Soviet Minister to Israel Pawel I. Yershov, who arrived in Haifa yesterday with a 17-member party, will present his credentials to Premier David Ben Gurion next week, it was announced here today. Yershov met with Foreign Minister Moshe Shertok.

Both the Russian and American diplomatic and consular missions will be housed temporarily at the seaside Gat Rimon Hotel. James G. McDonald, U.S. special representative to Israel, is expected to arrive here tomorrow or Thursday from Ital.

The Soviet mission was greeted by representatives of the Israel Government when it arrived in Haifa yesterday. An honor guard and Israeli military police escorted the group to Tel Aviv. The Gat Rimon Hotel today hoisted the Russian flag in honor of the Soviet delegation.
