The first Arabic newspaper to appear in Jaffa since the city was captured by the Israeli forces last summer was published today. The newspaper, El Yom, is edited by Michael Assaf, well know Jewish expert on Arab affairs.
The Red Mogen Dovid today distributed clothing, cigarettes and candy to 5,000 Arab prisoners of war detained in Israel. The detainees include British and Egyptian pilots who bombed Tel Aviv.
