The Canadian Congress of Labor, Dominion equivalent of the C.I.O., has adopted a resolution urging the Canadian Government to grant immediate recognition to the state of Israel and to establish full diplomatic and trade relations with it. The resolution, adopted at the organization’s annual convention here, also hailed the Histadruth.

Pat Conroy, secretary of the Congress, declared that recognition of Israel “is morally the right and just thing.” Lauding the work of Minister for External Affairs Lester B. Pearson at the U.N., Conroy said that the resolution merely asks the government to follow through the work begun by Pearson at the United Nations.
