Brith Abraham Opens Drive for $100,000 for Blood Processing Unit; Honors Col. Marcus

Four hundred lodges throughout the country of Brith Abraham today launched a drive for $100,000 to help construct and equip a blood-processing building in Israel in memory of the late Col. David Marcus, commander of Israel’s military forces who died in battle at the conclusion of hostilities, it was announced here today by Grand Master Joseph R. Apfel. The drive is being conducted in cooperation with the Red Mogen David, Israel’s counterpart of the Red Cross, which will, in addition, raise $150,000 for the project.
