The Agudas Israel supports Israel’s foreign policy but differs with the Israeli Government on its internal policy, H. A. Goodman, political secretary of the Agudah, told an Agudah public meeting here.

Goodman asserted that the Agudah would not be able to participate in the Jewish state’s Cabinet if Israel is not based on Jewish law. In such a case, he added, the Agudah would form an opposition group within the Israeli Parliament.

The Agudah leader said he supported the policy of Israeli neutrality between the Eastern and Western blocs, adding that he is convinced that Israel wants only to live in peace with its neighbors and to maintain friendly relations with England. Goodman termed the British attitude to Israel “unrealistic.”
