JERUSALEM (Nov. 26)
Jerusalem had its quietest day today in weeks. An official Israel communique said: “There is nothing to report.”
Informed circles here believe that a meeting scheduled to take place between the Israeli commander of the Jerusalem area and the commander of the Arab Legion will be held within a week under the supervision of United Nations observers. The hope was expressed here today that the commanders will be able to reach an agreement for an effective truce in the city.
