Syria Orders Jews Not to Sell Their Property; Bans U.S. Publications As “pro-zionist”

The Syrian Cabinet today decided to prohibit Syrian Jews from selling their property in Syria, a Reuters dispatch from Damascus reported.

It was also officially announced in Damascus today that two American magazines, Life and Newsweek, have been banned in Syria on charges that they are “pro-Zionist.”
