Israeli Minister of Justice Dr. Felix Rosenblueth will tomorrow place before the State Council a measure calling for the proclamation of an amnesty for all detainees and prisoners now being held in Israel, except men centered to death or life imprisonment, it was officially announced here tonight.

Meanwhile, the families of members of the Stern Group, who have been under arrest for months since the assassination of U.N. mediator Count Folke Bernadotte and the outlawing of the dissident organization, today began a hunger strike in protest against the continued detention of the Sternists. The hunger strike, which began this morning, followed an all-night sit-down in front of the offices of the Ministry of Justice here. Yesterday the demonstrators called on Dr. Rosenblueth to present their protest, but did not disperse after the interview.

Meanwhile, 40 Sternists transferred from Acre prison, where most of the primers are Kept, entered the eighth day of their hunger strike. They began the strike in protest against their separation from their comrades and because they had not been brought to trial speedily.
