More than 100 United States military policemen today threw a cordon around a Munich Jewish displaced camp in a search for three men who allegedly attacked an American officer when he found them illegally slaughtering livestock, Reuters reported.
The officer, Captain William Poole, said he attempted to arrest his attackers, but two of them escaped after a tussle. He managed to hold a third man, but the Jew was later freed by two unidentified men. The police ringed the entire camp with jeeps and armored cars but failed to find the men, the report said.
