Eliezer Preminger, Communist leader who was elected to the Israeli Constituent Assembly on the Communist Party ticket, may be expelled from the Party on charges that he is a “former pro-Zionist” and is maintaining contact with a movement which is “inimical to the workers movement.”
A statement to this effect was issued here today by the Communist Party. The statement said that the expulsion of Preminger and other “former pro-Zionists” and “adventurists” is now being considered by the Israeli Communist Party.
