The election of Israel Rogosin, noted Jewish leader and philanthropist, to the board of trustees of Brandeis University was announced here today by George Alpert, president of the board.

Rogosin is the sponsor of the I. Rogosin Foundation, established in 1946, through which contributions are made to educational, civic and charitable organizations through income of more than 100,000 shares of stock in Beaunit Mills, of which he is president. The Foundation supports the Jewish Culture Foundation at New York University which includes an intensive program of student activities, a library of Judaica, Hebraica and the chair of Hebrew culture and education.
