Second Group of Israel-bound Shanghai Jews Leaves West Coast En Route to New York

The second Group of 228 Shanghai Jewish IP’s en route of Israel and Europe via the United States left for New York today aboard a sealed train after arriving here from Shanghai yesterday on the S.S. General Meigs. With the exception of 36 of the refugees who will settle in Europe, the entire contingent will transship from New York on Thursday for Genoa, Italy, distribution center for Israel.
