Bagdad Radio Reports Seven Iraqi Jews Sentenced to Death for Aiding Zionism

The broadcast listed five of the Jews as: Eved Zion, Monsshe Yitzhak, Yitzhak Shlomo Burad, Naji Zion and Abraham Zion. The names of the other two Jews were not divulged. The broadcast said that 14 other Jews will also be tried soon on charges of supporting Zionism.

A delegation of Jerusalem residents today presented to Soviet Minister Pavel Yershov a certificate of Inscription in the Jewish National Fund’s Golden Book for Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko in appreciation of his efforts in behalf of Israel at the United Nations and on the occasion of his recent appointment as Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister.
