Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Sharet left Tel Aviv this afternoon by plane for the United States. He is expected to reach New York by the end of the week, and will pay a formal call on Secretary of State Dean Acheson. After that he will devote himself to the work in behalf of the United Jewish Appeal.

Earlier today he attended the second session of the new Cabinet at which Premier David Ben Gurion presided. It is understood that the Cabinet is still discussing the allocation of portfolios that remain to be filled by reason of the refusal of the Mapam and the General Zionists to join the government.
