A delegation of prominent New York leaders in all walks of life will call on Mayor William O’Dwyer this week to urge him not to accord British Foreign Minister Ernest Bevin the usual reception extended to visiting foreign dignitaries when Bevin arrives here Wednesday, it was announced by the Joint Committee To Combat Anti-Semitism. The Committee, defense agency of the Jewish People’s Fraternal Order and the American Jewish Labor Council, has announced plans to picket Bevin on his arrival, to protest his “notorious anti-Semitic record and his hostility to the state of Israel.”
