An all-day conference at the New School here yesterday marked the completion of ten years of the publication Jewish Social Studies.
The general subject of the conference was “Problems of Research in the Study for the Jewish Catastrophe 1939-45.” One session, under the chairmanship of Salo W. ###ron, professor of Jewish history at Columbia University, discussed “The Status of ##search.” A second session, chaired by Max Weinreich of the Yiddish Scientific Institute, discussed “The Social Sciences and the Jewish Catastrophe.”
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
