Hadassah Community Health Center Opens in Beersheba; Cooperatives to Absorb Immigrants

A Hadassah community health center–part of the Haim Yassky Memorial Hospital which will serve the Israeli population in the southern of the country–was opened in Beersheba today. The center is a community-Wide health institution and as such is the only one of its kind in the Middle East.

The general convention of Israeli cooperatives closed last night after adopting a five-year plan providing for the absorption of 25,000 new immigrants, 5,000 of ### during the next two years. The project will cost $60,000,000 and every corporative in Israel is obliged to accept new arrivals equal to at least 25 percent of total membership.
