Three Jewish Congressmen today expressed concern to the House of Representatives over the reported anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union. They were Representatives Abraham J. Multer, Isidore Dollinger, and Louis B. Heller, all Democrats of New York.
Muter said: “Only yesterday Secretary of State Dean Acheson pointed out in Paris that only Russia and its satellite states refused to permit the outside world to know what goes on behind the Iron Curtain. I join Secretary Acheson in challenging the Soviet authorities to permit the representatives of the United Nations to enter Soviet Russia in order to freely determine the true state of affairs.” The other Congressmen spoke in a similar vein.
