Leiser Treister of New York has been awarded the Moshe Kasner prize for this year for his Yiddish play “King Saul,” it was announced here. The prize is $1,000.
The Kasner award was established in Argentina two years ago for Jewish playwrights. No first prize was awarded for a one-act play this year. The second prize, worth $150, went to Gershon Einbinder of Los Angeles for “The Jewish Woman of Minsk.”
