Dr. Jonah B. Wise, a national chairman of the felted Jewish Appeal since its inception, has been awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Hebrew Letter by the Jewish Theolotgical Seminary. In a citation accompanying the ward Dr. Wise’s contributions to the development in the U.S. Jewish community of an “awareness of the necessity for large-scale voluntary fund-raising to meet the needs of our brethren in Europe, North Africa and Asia,” were noted.
