A sum of approximately $17,000 for the erection of a memorial honoring the late Dr. Stephen S. Wise was raised here last night at a World Jewish Congress dinner. Dr. Nahum Goldmann, acting president of the W.J.C., emphasized in an address that solidarity must be maintained between Israel and the Jews throughout the world.
