Leaders of all groups in the American Zionist movement attended a luncheon yesterday tendered by the Jewish National Fund in honor of Harry Levin, who has been designated by the Government of Israel as its Consul General for Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Levin, who has been connected with the Jewish National Fund headquarters in Jerusalem for many years, is now on route to Canberra.
Speakers at the luncheon noted Mr. Levin’s activities in behalf of the J.N.F. and lauded the Israeli Government for choosing him for a most important diplomatic post. The speakers included Judge Morris Rothenberg, Mendel Fisher, Dr. S. Margoshes, Louis Segal and Rev. Maurice Perlzweig.
