Displaced Persons Commission chairman Ugo Carusi conferred with President Truman today on problems concerning displaced persons legislation.
He later said that friends and enemies of liberalized DP legislation have made their positions clear. Mr. Carusi said that the progress of DP immigration to the U.S. was very satisfactory “as far as the present law permits.”
